Position Title:               Geospatial Analyst

Clearance Required:    Top Secret/SCI

Duties Include:

  • Conducting independent and team-related geospatial analysis and reporting using traditional GEOINT data and non-traditional GEOINT “Big Data”, to obtain enhanced intelligence findings and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of analysis.
  • Provide for extraction and/or acquisition of geospatial information, derivative information and multi-INT data for analysis and visualization. 
  • Extraction of specific feature data in accordance with customer requirements and product specifications, and with respect to non-standard product requirements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a metadata catalog based on customer standards.
  • Assist in establishing and managing geospatial analysis research and production.
  • Create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products.
  • Assist in identifying, compiling and assessing geospatial and imagery data sets to support requirements.
  • Identify, develop, and submit collection requirements to support answering key intelligence questions or operational support.
  • Compile, segregate, evaluate, research, interpret, analyze, and disseminate intelligence information to answer key intelligence questions or for operational support.
  • Collaborate with analysts, partners, and customers as required.  With little guidance, provide written analytical intelligence reports, graphics, and briefings required to communicate the analysis rendered.
  • Utilize expertise in geospatial analysis to produce GEOINT in support of locating, compiling, characterizing, and monitoring mission specific facilities, logistics, and route studies associated with those facilities.
  • Perform Geospatial Analysis in the Integrated Analytic Environment consistent with the Structured Observation Management initiative.
  • Perform geospatial analysis and present results in the form of datasets, visualization and models for inclusion in non-standard and formal customer intelligence analysis products.
  • Use a variety of geospatial analysis software suites and geospatial data formats/types to accomplish the mission.  Geospatial analysis products: ESRI, ArcGIS, Socet Set, and Socet for ArcGIS software are commonly used.  Data formats include: commercial imagery, panchromatic data, spectral data, and SAR/OPIR.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present intelligence displays, reports, and briefings with the creation and use of visual aids (graph, charts, etc.) and drafting, editing and proofreading documents for publishing.
  • Work rapidly in a high tempo high stress environment that often requires multi-tasking.

Skills and Experience:

Required:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Current Top Secret clearance and current SCI access
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated relevant experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience performing advanced scripting with GIS tools to automate processes
  • Demonstrated relevant experience using RemoteView, ArcGIS, Socet GXP
  • Demonstrated relevant experience working with large structured data sets
  • Demonstrated relevant experience reading and understanding intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS to develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems.
  • Attended a basic Intelligence Course.

Desired:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience utilizing compartmented GEOINT.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience with statistical/mathematical analysis applied to GEOINT within the past 3 years.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience working cross-IC projects within the past 3 years.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience working with Counter-Terror IC organizations within the past 3 years.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience conducting data mining using IC databases, open-source reporting and other intelligence sources within the past 3 years.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience working with intelligence organizations and systems; collection and reporting systems intelligence information sources; techniques of identifying, collating, evaluating, and analyzing information within the past 3 years.
  • Familiarity with ESRI suite of products
  • Adobe Acrobat knowledge
  • Demonstrated relevant experience working with intelligence organizations and systems; collection and reporting systems intelligence information sources; techniques of identifying, collating, evaluating, and analyzing information within the past 3 years.
