Position Title: Systems Engineer/Data Modeler (Senior)

Position Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer/Data Modeler will apply a structured approach to design and implementation of systems and processes to capture and translate mission and customer requirements in order to transform them into capabilities, testing and validation of services. The Senior Systems Engineer will analyze and allocate requirements to systems architecture components and oversee the development, testing and validation of systems and services and will also coordinate the integration of systems and services into the enterprise architecture and oversee deployment.
Key Duties:
• Assist the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the NSG, ASG and Federal Agencies.
• Direct and oversee the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Advise the Government on proposed changes to the solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
• Assist the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
• Support the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
• Assist the Government in performing systems integration activities.
• Lead Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
• Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
• Provide expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
• Operate at the level of integrating multiple Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational, agency, department, and governmental/national boundaries.
• Support Data Standards Officers and Sub Committees with maintaining the structure and data standards associated with Structured Observation Management (SOM) with responsibilities to ensure the ontology is to the standards (Object types, hierarchy, attributes, relationships, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
• Systems Engineering experience with the System/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience supporting Structured Observation Management (SOM). (SOM provides capabilities to create, view, manage, and store structured observations and related data via manual and automated (Computer Vision) means to maximize discoverability of data for NGA analysts and NSG customers)
• Familiarity with Geospatial/GEOINT Ontology concepts
• Familiarity with Imagery Analysis Standards
• Agile and DEVCAP Methodology experience
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Analysis Core Vocabulary (ACV) / Imagery Analysis Ontology/Vocabulary.
• Experience with Atlas SOM Repository. (Atlas SOM provides open, standards-based storage and dissemination services for Structured data and is accessible through Map of the World SOM Discovery.)
• Experience with Analysis GIS (AGIS). (AGIS provides services and capabilities which allow for creation, maintenance, deletion, capture, storage, visualization, analysis, and discovery of geospatial data.)
• Experience with GEOINT Object Management System (OMS). (OMS is the Authoritative source for Custody of real-world objects used to portray the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP).)
• Experience with GEOINT “Complete Intelligence” supporting OMS contribution to Mission Partner OMS.
• Experience with the Computer Vision discipline.

Target Salary Range:
$145,500 - $214,100 WMA; $130,000 - $191,200 St. Louis, MO; $130,300 - $191,600 Huntsville, AL
This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, clearance, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
